How to compare Khemlani affair with Gillard's internicine idiocies?

How to compare the Khemlani affair with Gillard's internicine idiocies?

Remember that Malcolm Fraser blocked supply and was re - elected in spite of the deep - seated  hatred from the left.

Whitlam had at least two hapless Treasurers: Simon Crean's father Frank would answer questions by trying to disarm the questioner with another question: 'What would you do'?

Jim Cairns proudly announced that ''If I can save jobs by printing more money - I will print more money.''
Somehow Cairns nearly became  PM!

Furthermore, he could contemplate the interesting Junie Morosi as he was trying to sell his moribund  memoirs at South Melbourne market towards the end of his wasted life.

Nothing that Wayne Swan is doing will be remotely comparable.

We live in the dumbest of post - modernist times:

We live in the dumbest of post - modernist times:

Not only are Labor and leaders Gillard, Rudd State Labor and all acolytes unable to act in a reasonable manner in any circumstances - but now we have proof that the staffers have always been similarly incompetent.
Gillard has four press secretaries - all young twirps who like Rudd's staffers know not how to advise.
Remember the 6000 word dirge they proudly helped K07 create?.
I think the US president has only one press secretary.
Indeed as a wag wrote recently: ''no leftist has ever won a rational argument''  Graeme Osborne Letters 24/1
Indeed they have perverted terms to absurdity - eg 'economic rationalism' is / was an insult.The obverse of what it plainly is.
Sadly there should be a dictionary for their leftist words and a comedy book for their absurd childish ill - thought  policies.
They have long ago given up  thinking about the law of unintended consequences: by decrying  and ignoring the law of intended consequences. That takes some doing: seemingly they deliberately create disaster after disaster to obviate rational accountability!
Too many to count - and repeated to boot!
Regularly Gillard humiliates herself by writing mush: eg  on her raison d'etre - education.
The Australian Lifting kids success level The Australian 28/1/12
Kevin Donelly same page humiliates the poor woman! If she had children they would sue her for the inequitable allocation of genes.
What is there for this miserable party to 'achieve' as by far the worst government in history!

Plunder creatively, Romans and leftists!

Plunder creatively, Romans and leftists!

Having no viable / original ideas Labor acolytes should take less well - known speeches and reconfigure it creatively.
Yea - I recall the 'man on the moon' tearfull codswallop from Gillard; Bono forgave her.
 Albanese unashamedly quoting Homer Simpson "'I stuffed up''
[plainly not even realizing the obscenity he thus espoused]

Now their chief  minister for Head - Kicking has typically abused a Hollywood movie script.

I recall how the leftist Albanese  attacked Julia Bishop vociferously for arguably  similarly using a Wall St article.
Even herein - note it was a Wall St article vs a movie script!

Yet Labor justifies their actions implying much about their pacity of ideas.and internicine policy disasters.['stuff - ups galore!]

So I offer the below as a help to the moribund left: surely no one will pick the original!
GS

Friends, leftists  and plaigerizers,

lend me your ears;
I come to humiliate Abbott, not to praise him;
The evil that men say lives after them,
The unoriginal is oft interrĂ©d with Labor's political bones,
So let it be with Julia... and the ignoble Kevin

Who hath told you I was ambitious:
If it were so, I would have quoted the whole movie,
And grievously let Gillard answered it....

Albanese accused of plagiarising Hollywood speech

The Federal Opposition has ridiculed Government frontbencher Anthony Albanese for using lines from a Hollywood movie in a speech to the National Press Club.

In the romantic comedy The American President, actor Michael Douglas plays the role of US president Andrew Shepherd.

He tells the White House press corps regarding his Republican opponent: "We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem, I promise you, Bob Rumson is not the least bit interested in solving it.

"He is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it."

Mr Albanese used lines almost identical to those spoken by Douglas while attacking Opposition Leader Tony Abbott in his press club address.

"In Australia we have serious challenges to solve and we need serious people to solve them," he said.

"Unfortunately, Tony Abbott is not the least bit interested in fixing anything.

"He is only interested in two things; making Australians afraid of it and telling them who's to blame for it."

Liberal Party federal director Brian Loughnane, who has made a YouTube video of the incident, said the plagiarism showed Labor was "unoriginal and devoid of ideas".

'Stuffed up'

Both Mr Albanese and Prime Minister Julia Gillard have laughed off the matter on Twitter.

Mr Albanese has quoted Homer Simpson, saying he "stuffed up".

"D'oh! Stuff up (for the record, that comes from another great American, Homer Simpson)," he tweeted.

Ms Gillard also joked that she loves Michael Douglas.

"And speaking of actors - I love Michael Douglas because he's married to a Welsh woman. @AlboMP's not bad either. JG," she tweeted.

Opposition frontbencher Christopher Pyne says that is not good enough.

"Far be it from to take some joy out of his embarrassment but a cabinet minister in the Federal Government should do a lot better," he said.

"I think Anthony Albanese should apologise to the Federal Parliament and the press club for not doing the homework he should be doing."

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears

by William Shakespeare

Julius Caesar

Act 3, Scene 2

Mark Antony:

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him;
The evil that men do lives after them,
The good is oft interréd with their bones,
So let it be with Caesar.... The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answered it....
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest,
(For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all; all honourable men)
Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral....
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
But Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man....
He hath brought many captives home to Rome,
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then to mourn for him?
O judgement! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason.... Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.

The researcher ignores statistical common sense.

The researcher ignores statistical common sense.
It is about time people realized that almost all research has flaws: the flag - flying / racism corollary has many innate errors partially built in.
The researcher ignores  statistical common sense.
Understand dear reader that there are almost certainly fewer 'racists' among easy - going Aussies than most other nations. It is so typical of the man next door to leave you to practice your religion. Or whatever.
We are so disrespectful of authority. We mock those who take themselves too seriously.
All inimical to the racist moniker.
For this researcher to set out to devine racism amongst us is asinine. Our worst sin seems to be sports fanaticism. There will be research soon to confirm the bias of Collingwood supporters!
Here is the basic flaw.
  1. Understand that there will be racists amongst us.
  2. The researcher's ignorant analysis / defining work will pick them up together with the harmless flag wavers!
  3. I guess the silly survey will pick up arsonists as well: she should draw similarly non - astute conclusions from our racists who are also  arsonists!
Wake up to researchers who are willfully blind, merely asinine or hungry to justify the wasted research funds!

Drivers with Aussie flags on their cars 'more racist' research shows

DRIVERS who fly Australian flags on their cars to celebrate Australia Day are "more racist" than people who do not, according to research from UWA.
University of Western Australia sociologist and anthropologist Professor Farida Fozdar and a team of assistants surveyed 513 people at the Australia Day fireworks on Perth's Swan River foreshore last year to find out whether there was a link between car flag flying and racist attitudes.
Professor Fozdar said the team found that of the 102 people surveyed on the day who had attached flags to their cars for the national holiday, 43 per cent agreed with the statement that the now-abandoned “White Australia Policy” had “saved Australia from many problems experienced by other countries”.
She said that only 25 per cent of people who did not fly Australia car flags agreed with the statement.
Under the “White Australia Policy”, which was non-official government policy until after World War II, non-Europeans were barred from migrating to Australia.
The survey also found that a total of 56 per cent of people with car flags feared for Australian culture and believed that the country’s most important values were in danger, compared with 34 per cent of non-flag flyers.
Thirty-five per cent of flag flyers felt that people had to be born in Australia to be truly Australian, compared with 22 per cent of non-flag flyers. Twenty-three per cent of flag flyers believed that true Australians had to be Christian, while 18 per cent of non-flaggers agreed with the statement.
An overwhelming 91 per cent of people with car flags agreed that people who move to Australia should adopt Australian values, compared with 76 per cent of non-flaggers.
A total of 55 per cent of flaggers believed migrants should leave their old ways behind, compared with 30 per cent of non-flaggers.

“What I found interesting is that many people didn't really have much to say about why they chose to fly car flags or not," Professor Fozdar said.
"Many felt strongly patriotic about it - and for some, this was quite a racist or exclusionary type of patriotism - but it wasn't a particularly conscious thing for many.”
The research backs up an opinion piece from PhD student Michael Britton, who has lectured in history and politics at Curtin University and Notre Dame University, which argues that flying an Australian flag on a car may actually be a sign of disrespect for the country.

A real whistleblower!

HSU calls for Andrew Wilkie support on Craig Thomson

THE National secretary of the Health Services Union, Kathy Jackson, has urged independent MP Andrew Wilkie to support a no-confidence motion if Labor MP Craig Thomson is found by Fair Work Australia to have misused union funds.
"I believe that if Mr Wilkie is genuine in what he has said and accountable to the public and, if it is found that Craig Thomson has misused and misappropriated union funds, then that would be an example of serious misconduct," she said yesterday.
She warned that the FWA investigation into Mr Thomson could be open to political manipulation and its findings pushed back to beyond the next election.
Ms Jackson shot to prominence in August after she referred allegations that Mr Thomson had used his union credit card to pay for prostitutes and racked up a $100,000 bill when he was HSU national secretary to the NSW Police.
Her comments follow Tony Abbott's continued attack on Mr Thomson, the member for the NSW seat of Dobell, in the wake of Mr Wilkie's weekend decision to withdraw support for the Gillard government.

Mr Wilkie no longer has any agreement with the government to support supply and confidence after Julia Gillard said that she could not pass legislation for the introduction of mandatory betting curbs on high-loss poker machines by 2014.
The Prime Minister yesterday defended her integrity against Coalition claims she backstabbed Mr Wilkie by not meeting her commitment to introduce mandatory precommitment legislation by May 8. She told The Australian that she believed most people understood politics was about working with others to deliver outcomes.
"It's about delivering change, it's about reform, it's about getting things done," she said.
But Mr Wilkie's decision to tear up his agreement with Labor means the government can now only be certain of a one-vote advantage in the lower house in the event of a no-confidence motion.
Mr Wilkie said yesterday he would have to wait to assess the outcome of any investigation into the Labor MP's conduct.
"Craig Thomson must be assumed innocent until proven guilty," he told ABC radio.
But his decision has prompted the Coalition's renewed focus on Mr Thomson, who the opposition considers the weakest link in the government and the best chance of forcing an early election through a no-confidence motion.
Opposition workplace relations spokesman Eric Abetz has written to Fair Work Australia demanding to know why its investigation into Mr Thomson had taken more than three years. The Opposition Leader said it was clear the process was not operating "fairly" or "justly".
And Ms Jackson urged the government to push for an early resolution. "I do back that (Abetz) letter," she said ". . . Our members need answers."
Acting Minister for Workplace Relations Kate Ellis declined to comment on why the investigation into Mr Thomson's conduct had taken so long.
Mr Abbott accused Ms Gillard of relying on Mr Thomson for policy advice after his public foray into the heated poker machine debate in which he described the government's compromise solution as a "victory for common sense".

"This is . . . a government which is trying to blame the . . . Andrew Wilkie betrayal on factors beyond its control and yet you've got Craig Thomson boasting . . . that in fact it was Craig Thomson himself and Labor members of parliament who have forced the Prime Minister into this position."
Former Liberal MP Peter Slipper, whose defection to the Speaker's chair has preserved the government's wafer-thin parliamentary buffer, said he believed the government would still last for a full term.

  1. Were the writers  preempting the Gillard - Rudd governments when they created the greatest of political comedy / farces?

Andrew Wilkie insisted that he discovered undiscovered things as a whistle blower. Merely asinine. However as a former intelligence officer he could have been charged with 'whistleblowing' - instead of being feted by the left.

Now Wilkie and Gillard  are plainly exposed as mere political humbugs on Wilkie's  raison d'etre / support for this miserable minority  government  -  poker machines.

A technical  improvement on Labor's scores of stupidities: at least this back - flip by both is based on realpolitic!
