ask The OZ: why not mention in your editorial the real
problem?
That
the Commandant of the Australian Defence Force Academy decided to have this
young woman charged with a minor charge not relating to what she tragically
underwent?
It
was this that Minister Smith and other decent - thinking people found grossly
objectionable.
For
a man of his gravitas to do this is unconscionable!
For
your editorial writer to then reassemble this into ''wider cultural issues such
as the use of alcohol, social media and the treatment of women'' is deliberate
distortion!
Then
to ramble about the ADF being a ''fighting force not a laboratory for social
engineering...'' is almost obscene of itself.
Shame
on you - I would suggest the incipient media enquiry would get it's teeth into
you!!
