Egypt constantly seeks stolen artifacts that are smuggled out of the country.
CAIRO: According to Egypt’s State Information Service, Spain’s Barcelona Museum returned eight Pharaonic antiquities that were smuggled from Egypt in 1999.
The priceless artifacts were returned to the Egyptian embassy in Madrid on Wednesday.
Egypt’s Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mohamed Ibrahim, attended the event, which occurred at the Egyptian embassy in Madrid.
